I'm a passionate open source technologist, who's been lucky enough to find a role perfectly suited to that passion here with the Open Education Resources Foundation. I'm a physicist and engineer by training, started and ran my own company ("we sell free software") for 14 years before selling it to Catalyst IT, at which point I worked for them for 2ish years, leaving to start this role with the OERF.
I'm also the current president of the NZ Open Source Society and sit on the advisory group for Creative Commons Aotearoa NZ
Other passions include my wife and two young boys, swing dancing, music (singing, guitar, percussion), cycling, woodworking, radio controlled models, and being an active advocate for democracy, IT in education, and our shared commons (both local and global).
