The New Zealand Qualifications Authority has approved micro-credentials and these rules will come into effect from 22 August 2018.
The OERu’s strategy to assemble its open online courses as micro-courses, first proposed at our 2013 international meeting of partners, will now deliver significant returns in widening access to more affordable pathways towards recognized credentials.
